Flack named Director of Campus Life at MC

Nov. 15, 2019

Doniqua Flack ’15, former Student Programming Advisor/Resident Director, has been named Director of Campus Life at Maryville College. She began her new role on Nov. 1.

As Director of Campus Life, Flack assumes responsibility for the Office of Residence Life, while continuing her work with the College’s Student Programming Board, as well as student clubs and organizations.

Flack, who holds a bachelor’s degree in design from Maryville College, joined the Student Affairs Division’s staff in August 2016. As a student, she worked with the division as a resident assistant and apartment manager. She also was involved in the College’s Student Government Association and Student Programming Board.

Flack is taking over some of the responsibilities formerly held by Jessica Boor, former Director of Student Services, who accepted an appointment to become Maryville College’s Prevention Education Coordinator. The newly created position is the result of a federal grant from the Department of Justice to help the College enhance its prevention education efforts related to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.

Maryville College Vice President and Dean of Students Dr. Melanie Tucker announced the news in a memo to faculty and staff.

“Through Ms. Flack’s time on campus, she has not only demonstrated the qualifications for the job, she has also consistently evidenced an appreciation for and familiarity with our programs, our campus and our students, all of which will make a change in leadership seamless,” Tucker said. “I am confident we have the right people in the right positions to continue our focus on creating a diverse, inclusive and welcoming living-learning environment for our campus community.”
