The purpose of the Family Council (which consists of families from each of the classes), as written in its Bylaws, is to provide a liaison between the College and the parents of Maryville College students, and to encourage family engagement in the activities and programs of Maryville College. Listening to concerns of other families and sharing these concerns with College administrators is a primary responsibility of Family Council members. Other responsibilities include helping plan campus events for families, making recommendations for publications, leading efforts for the annual family fund-drive and advising the College on issues and activities relevant to student life.
