Consisting of 16 family units (4 families from each of the classes), the Parents Council is the liaison between the Maryville College parents and the College's administration.
The purpose of the Parents Council, as written in its Bylaws, is to provide a liaison between the College and the parents of Maryville College students, and to encourage parent engagement in the activities and programs of Maryville College. Listening to concerns of other parents and sharing these concerns with College administrators is a primary responsibility of Parents Council members. Other responsibilities include helping plan campus events for families, making recommendations for parent publications, leading efforts for the annual parent fund-drive and advising the College on issues and activities relevant to student life.
