DESCRIPTION:11:00AM –  Alice and Friends\nTake a tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice into a world of whimsey and wonder.  Alice and her friends dance together including bunnies\, flowers\, teacups\, flamingoes\, cards and butterflies. (This performance features our youngest ballet dancers)\nApproximate running time 40 minutes.\n \n1:00PM – Rhythm and Legends\nGet ready for an electrifying celebration of music and dance!  This high-energy performance brings the stage to life with choreography set to some of the music industry’s biggest icons featuring favorites chosen by VMSD faculty and students.  From jazz and contemporary to tap\, hip hop and musical theatre\, each piece highlights the artistry\, personality and passion of our dancers while paying tribute to the artists who have shaped the soundtrack of our lives.  Join us for an exciting\, crowd-pleasing show you won’t want to miss!\nApproximate running time one hour and fifteen minutes\n \n4:00PM – Alice in Wonderland\nTake a tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice into a world of whimsey and wonder.  Lewis Carroll’s classic 1865 story turned into a ballet follows young Alice through a realm of strange happenings in Wonderland.  Alice traverses a world where she attends a never-ending tea party and faces the formidable Queen of Hearts along with the White Rabbit\, A Caterpillar\, the mischievous Cheshire Cat\, the Mad Hatter and many exciting characters!\nApproximate running time one hour and forty-five minutes

DESCRIPTION:Maryville Christian School’s Theater Arts Department proudly presents Newsies!\nSeize the day and join us for this high-energy musical full of courage\, friendship\, and unforgettable songs. Our talented students are ready to carry the banner and bring this inspiring story to life!\nNewsies is inspired by the real-life 1899 newsboy strike in New York City\, where charismatic leader Jack Kelly rallies young sellers to protest unfair pay. When powerful newspaper tycoons Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise prices at the boys’ expense\, the kids form a union to fight for their rights. Through song\, dance\, and camaraderie\, the “newsies” overcome corporate greed\, inspiring a city-wide\, youth-led movement for fair treatment.
