
2012 MC Wall of Fame Class Announced
The Maryville College Athletic Wall of Fame Committee is proud to announce their class of 2012 inductees. The following group of five former student-athletes along with a legendary coach will highlight MC's Homecoming activities in October. The following six will be inducted in a ceremony on Friday, October 19th in Maryville's Alumni Gymnasium.

Carl H. Black Award earned by Spannbauer, Fogg
The Maryville College Athletic Department announced their 2011-2012 Athletic Award recipients at their third annual senior student-athlete celebration in the Lambert Recital Hall on May 9th.
The Carl H. Black Outstanding Student-Athletic Trainer award was presented by MC's Head Athletic Trainer, Sharon Wood.

Rucker named 2012 J.D. Davis Award winner
The Maryville College Athletic Department announced their 2011-2012 Athletic Award recipients at their third annual senior student-athlete celebration in the Lambert Recital Hall on May 9th.
This year's MC coaching staff nominated four outstanding male student-athletes to be considered for this distinction. Ridge Carter (soccer), Jonathan Salkeld (cross country), Wesley Idlette (football), and Donald Rucker (basketball) were all recognized for their hard work and dedication within their programs and wearing the orange and garnet with such great pride over their careers.
The 2012 male J.D. Davis award winner was Cartersville, Georgia native, Donald Rucker.

This year's MC coaching staff nominated four outstanding female student-athletes to be considered for this distinction. C.J. Dake (basketball), Jordan Chase (soccer), Kristin Findley (volleyball), and Leah Kelley (softball) were all recognized for their hard work and dedication within their programs.
The 2012 female J.D. Davis award winner was Maryville native, Kristin Findley.

Greg Judkins named 2012 Ken Kribbs Award recipient
The Maryville College Athletic Department announced their 2011-2012 Athletic Award recipients at their third annual senior student-athlete celebration in the Lambert Recital Hall on May 9th.
The 2012 Ken Kribbs Award winner was Mr. Greg Judkins. Greg is a local educator that lends his golden voice via the public address systems of Honaker Field, Scotland Yard, and Boydson Baird Gymnasium. For almost 20 years, this young man has been the proud game day voice of your Fighting Scots. Each game day he adds to the student-athlete and fan experience with his professionalism in the booth.

Maryville Women and Huntingdon Men Claim President's Cup
DECATUR, Ga.- After a full season of play, the Maryville Scots on the women's side and the Huntingdon Hawks for the men have claimed the 2011-2012 President's Cup award. This honor goes to the school that performs the best consistently throughout the year in the conference championships.

Scots eliminated by Huntingdon; Hawks and Lions vie for title on Sunday
Following a thrilling comeback on Friday night, the Maryville College Scots couldn't take down the stingy defense of the Huntingdon Hawks in game five.
Sam Griffin, after pitching 3.1 innings of game four, came in to pitch seven innings against Maryville. Griffin only allowed the Scots five hits, while recording three strikeouts on the night. Alan Clemons came in for two innings of relief only allowing one hit as the Hawks defeated Maryville 10-0 to end their hopes of a Great South Athletic Championship title.
