Alumni Gym Recreation Center

Come visit Alumni Gym to participate in pick up games, join a fitness class, participate in an intramural sport or activity, or exercise in the fitness center.  Alumni Gym has a recreational sized basketball court for pick up games, intramural volleyball games, intramural basketball games, or for you to just work on that jump shot of yours.  The campus fitness center is also located in Alumni Gym.  Weather you are seasoned in the exercise department or you are just getting started, the fitness center is a great place to reach your goals.  Inside the Fitness Center you can find treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, free weights, a squat rack, benches, a smith machine, TRX cables,  and kettlebells.


Your Campus Recreation and Intramural Program offers a variety of different programs, activities, and leagues.  Intramurals are available for all students, staff, and faculty to participate in.  Visit to create an account and register for an upcoming event or league.  Take a look at some of the events and leagues we have had in the past!

Upcoming Intramural Leagues and Events


Sand Volleyball League!

Intramurals is hosting a Sand Volleyball League starting on Thursday, September 5th.  Register your team, join a team, or enlist yourself as a free agent to be picked up by Tuesday, September 3rd at 8:00 pm.  The mandatory team captain meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4th at 12:00 pm in Alumni Gym.  The league is 6 vs 6 variation of sand volleyball.  Two male and two female players are required for each roster.  Visit for more information and to sign up.

Open Volleyball!

Join us for open indoor volleyball in Alumni Gym every Tuesday this semester!  Volleyball nets will be set up for the campus community to come play pick up volleyball games from 12:00 pm-7:45 pm!  Bring a team, a friend, your roommate, or come by yourself!  


Spring Semester Fitness Classes

Exercise is Medicine offers campus several different fitness classes to it's students, staff, and faculty members.  Check them out!

Line Dancing

When?  Tuesdays from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm starting January 14th - April 14th (Excluding Spring Break)

Where?  Alumni Gym (Excluding March 3rd which is Election Day; Line dancing will be in the Cooper Athletic Center Gymnasium instead)


When?  Thursdays from 7:00 am - 7:50 am starting January 16th - April 16th

Where?  Alumni Gym

Camp 4

What is Camp 4 you ask?  Camp 4 starts August 21st, every Wednesday 3:30-6:30, and ends December 4th. Mountain Challenge’s backyard (behind Crawford House) will be open to MC students, staff, faculty, and the general public for recreational exercise. You’ll be able to boulder in the climbing cave, climb the alpine tower, participate in a group fitness class, or design an individualized workout using our kettlebells and resistance bands.

When?  Wednesdays from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
