Blount County College Fair

Clayton Center for the Arts - Grand Foyer

Representatives from more than 50 colleges, universities, technical schools and art schools are expected at the annual Blount County College Fair, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 26. Area high school students, their parents and other persons involved in a college search are invited to attend the fair.

Reservations are not required for attendees, and there is no cost to attend the fair. We do encourage all students to create an online registration account and print out their individual barcode to save time and allow you to have more in-depth conversations with college representatives.

Financial Aid Night

Clayton Center for the Arts - Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre

Although presented by Maryville College’s financial aid staff, this is a general information session to help prospective students and parents, regardless of the type of college they are considering. Parents and students will learn what they need to do to apply for all types of financial aid. Terminologies, student eligibility, timelines and information on grants and loans will be explained. From institutional aid to state and federal aid programs, this financial aid primer will help decipher the terms, raise the issues, review best approaches and answer financial aid questions. Participants will also be briefed on the Tennessee Educational Lottery Scholarship Program, as well as the importance of searching out free money awards like scholarships to help pay for education costs. Financial Aid Night is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

Join the Maryville College Admissions team on the College's 200th birthday in preparation of the Fighting Scots take on Methodist University at 2:00pm. Prior to kickoff, meet current students, take a campus tour, participate in Homecoming activities and more! Guests will received free entrance to the football game.

Highland Days

We invite our admitted students to experience life as an MC student! You will meet future classmates, experience our nationally recognized Mountain Challenge program, get to know MC faculty and staff, stay overnight in a residence hall with a current student, and on Monday, get an authentic classroom experience.

Other Opportunities to Visit Campus

Visit Maryville College and see why we're considered one of the South's best liberal arts colleges. Our students, faculty, and staff welcome your and your family to our campus!

As a prospective student, we encourage to you personalize your visit to Maryville College. Spend the night in a residence hall, attend class in a discipline you're really interested in, meet with a professor to discuss a major, have lunch (on us!) in our dining hall, and find out what it's like to be a Maryville College student. Please note, overnight stays are offered to current high school seniors and prospective transfer students and are limited to Sunday through Thursday evenings during the fall or spring semesters. Other personalized visits can be scheduled for any interested student. Please contact the Office of Admissions a minimum of two weeks in advance to request a visit with an overnight stay and a minimum of three days in advance of a personalized visit.

Campus tours, conducted by current students who are members of our Maryville College Ambassador program, occur three times a day, Monday through Friday at 9:30am, 10:30am, and 1:30pm during the Academic Year (September-April). Summer tours (May-August) are offered at 9:30am Monday through Friday, and 5:30pm (Thursdays only). Saturday visits are accommodated through a series of Open House programs or campus tours offered on most Saturdays during the Academic Year (at 9:30am); check with the Office of Admissions or our Campus Visit page for available dates and times.
