Hunger awareness is focus of “Banquet by class”

The word “class” will have a whole new perspective for Maryville College students, faculty and staff who participate in the Hunger Awareness Banquet, a dinner designed to educate attendees about the facts of world hunger.

WHAT: Hunger Awareness Banquet sponsored by the College’s Peace and World Concerns Committee
WHEN: Thursday, April 15, 2004, at 6 p.m.
WHERE: Isaac’s Café in Bartlett Hall on the Maryville College Campus
WHY: To educated the campus community about hunger.
PHOTO/VIDEO OP: Upon entry to the dinner, each participant will be issued a card, labeling him or her as either low, middle or upper class. The lower class is fed rice while the upper class is fed steak. During the meal, members of the Peace and World Concern Committee will present a program with facts and statistics about World hunger.
