The curriculum at MC is noted for its strong general education program and the two semesters of Senior Study research required of all students. Maryville College Works managed through the College Career Center, integrates career preparation for today’s job market, readying seniors for their first professional job search.

The student body, numbering nearly 1,100, is drawn from the Southeast, Middle Atlantic States and the Midwest. The 320-acre wooded campus is located in Maryville, TN, between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Knoxville, the state’s third largest city. The campus is within minutes of McGhee Tyson Regional Airport, the major research facilities of Oak Ridge Associated Universities (the College is an associate member), the University of Tennessee, and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

All Maryville College employees, except the counselors in the Counseling Center, the Campus Minister, and the PAVE Director, are mandatory reporters for sexual harassment on campus.
