Revolutionary Women: Then & Now is a special event presented by East Tennessee PBS that brings history to life through story, scholarship, and shared experience. Guests will enjoy a light brunch from Vienna Coffee Company, followed by an exclusive screening from The American Revolution by Ken Burns. The program continues with a compelling talk from Melissa Blair, women’s historian, author, and chair of the history department at Auburn University.
Dr. Blair will explore the vital yet often overlooked roles women played during the American Revolution and trace their influence through the generations that followed. From acts of resistance to lasting contributions in shaping the nation, this event offers a meaningful and engaging look at women’s impact on American history, then and now.
