Waiver Request

Students may request a Testing Waiver if they fail to pass any section(s) of the ACT, SAT, or Praxis CORE after two attempts.
They must meet all other requirements of the Maryville College Educator Preparation Program to be fully admitted.
Request for a Testing Waiver must be submitted before the end of the semester prior to taking EDU 351 Senior Study I.

Students may request a GPA Waiver if they meet all requirements to be fully admitted to the Maryville College Educator Preparation Program EXCEPT the minimum GPA of 2.75. Overall GPA must be 2.5 or higher to request this waiver.
Request for GPA Waiver must be submitted before the end of the semester prior to taking EDU 351 Senior Study I. 

Instructions – READ CAREFULLY

1. Waiver request must be submitted before the end of the semester prior to taking EDU 351 Senior Study I. 
2. Waivers will not be accepted during the candidate’s last two semesters.
3. You may not apply for more than one waiver.
4. It is imperative that you consult with your Education advisor before submitting a request.
5. This form should be printed, completed and submitted in person to the Educator Preparation Program Administrative Assistant – Anderson Hall 151.
