Phi Alpha Theta and the Maryville College History Society
Maryville College is proud to be the home to the Alpha Psi Mu chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society. Installed at MC in 2007, our chapter has gone to regional Phi Alpha Theta conferences in two states where our students have presented their own original research to other undergraduates, graduate students, and professors of history at other institutions.

The Maryville College History Society is a student organization open to everyone on campus with a passion for the past. Working in tandem with Phi Alpha Theta, MCHS has spearheaded many history activities on campus since its founding in 2006. Events have included a history fair, trips to lectures at nearby institutions of higher education, document preservation projects with the College Archives, among others.
Prospective or current students or others interested in MCHS or Phi Alpha Theta should contact their adviser, Dr. Aaron Astor at aaron.astor@maryvillecollege.edu.
