Visiting Lecturer in Economics

Macy Scheck began teaching at Maryville College in Spring 2024. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics and Finance at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and a Ph.D. fellow for the Political Economy Research Institute. He earned his B.Sc. at the University of Central Arkansas, where he studied economics and German. Macy also holds an M.A. in Economics from MTSU. His research lies at the intersection of political economy and public health, exploring diverse topics such as the adulteration of whiskey and the historical roots of barber licensure.
