Sharon May began teaching at Maryville College in Fall 2006. Since then, her economics teaching has been in the areas of microeconomics, environmental economics, development economics, principles of economics, and quantitative problem solving for business/economics. In addition, she is the coordinator for the Major in Economics.
In 2019, Dr. May was named the Chair of the Social Sciences Division.
Dr. May’s research interests include the teaching of economics and development economics as well as best practices in leadership and academic advising.
