Sharon May began teaching at Maryville College in Fall 2006.  Since then her economics teaching has been in the areas of microeconomics, environmental economics, development economics, and principles of economics.  In addition, she is the coordinator for the Major in Economics.  Other courses Dr. May teaches include an interdisciplinary course “Population, Food and the Environment”, “What’s in the News?” First Year Seminar, and “Excel for Business”. 

In 2012, Dr. May was named the Director of Academic Advising.

Dr. May’s research interests include the teaching of economics and development economics as well as best practices in academic advising.
