Meet Caston
Bio
I was born in Knoxville, but I am a Maryville native through and through. I graduated from William Blount High School in 2018 and then went on to Maryville College. I had a great opportunity to major in Political Science and minor in philosophy. I love Maryville and I have always wanted to be involved in the community of this area; Maryville College gave me the opportunity to be involved in the community in a lot of different and fun ways. While at MC I had a great opportunity to participate in some of the different groups on campus such as Residence Life, MC Theatre, the Academic Support Center, the Isaac Anderson Fellowship and the Peer Mentor Program. After all of the great opportunities I received at Maryville, I realized I wanted to come back and help other students find their way here.

Why I love MC
I have lived near MC my entire life. It was the college right in the center of my hometown. I always saw the college wherever I went. I knew that Maryville College would be home for me from my very first day on campus as student. My first stop of Summer Orientation was the Clayton Center where I watched the Peer Mentors make a fool of themselves on stage to make us feel more comfortable- from there, the mentors guided my group around campus to sign up for some of our classes and through all of the buildings I would be spending my next four years. They even took the time to sit with us and discuss some of their personal guidance of the campus. When I think about Maryville College, I think about walks in the college woods with friends, evenings in the writing center helping students organize their thoughts into a successful paper, and chats in the Campus Center for Ministry ranging from the profound to the incredibly silly. I made lifelong friends and connections that have made my life so much more successful in my life after graduation. My experiences here are irreplaceable, and for that reason alone this campus will always be my home.
