Admissions Intern

BIO

I was born in Virginia Beach, VA but have lived in Knoxville, TN since I was 2 years old. I’m an East Tennessee girl through and through! My main passion growing up was music. I have been playing the flute since the 6th grade, competed in high school marching band as a drum major, and was a part of the cymbal line for my school’s indoor drumline. I graduated from Farragut High School in 2019 and started my journey at Maryville College right after. I have always enjoyed helping people and getting to know more about the human mind and behavior, so I majored in Psychology-Counseling and minored in Sociology. As a Maryville College student, I worked in Admissions as an Ambassador, was a Team Lead for the program, and gave over 200 tours. I was also active in our instrumental ensembles on campus: Tartanband, MC3 Community Band, and our newly revived athletic Pep Band. I am so excited to continue my work in the Admissions Office and help prospective students find their home away from home here at MC!

Why I Love MC

Maryville College is such a special and welcoming community. Whether it’s your first time on campus or your 1,000th time, you’ll be met with some of the nicest and helpful people around. As a student, I developed my home-away-from-home at MC, and I want to help more students find the perfect college experience for them. The small college atmosphere, the MC Woods, and all the neighboring experiences East TN has to offer makes this home to me and are why I love it so much. I’m so thankful for the opportunities MC has provided me as I continue my work in Admissions and work towards my career goal of working as a Mental Health Counselor. Go Scots!
