Ms. Lucy Woodrow

Bio

I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and lived in St. Leonard, Maryland until I was about 5, when we moved to Signal Mountain, Tennessee. I grew up in the Chattanooga area, attending the Baylor School. I competed in Rowing in at Baylor as well as the Debate Club. After Graduating from Baylor in 2019, I continued my educational career at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I began as a Nursing major, then Education, then finally found my way to Psychology, due to my interest in how the mind works. I was a member of the women’s Rugby team and participated in the Clay Target Club Team. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Studies. I began my journey with the Maryville College Admissions team in January of 2024 after working in Social Work and finding that working in Higher Education was a stronger calling for me.  I’m so excited to be helping students find their fit here at Maryville College!

Why I love MC

I have been in the Maryville/Knoxville area for almost five years now, and have absolutely fallen in love with the area. The mountains set a beautiful backdrop for the campus, as well as provide endless outdoor activities to take part in. The welcoming attitude of the Maryville College community makes it feel a lot more like a close-knit family than just a college. With the smaller student population, and all the variety of on campus activities, you are bound to find your fit here!
