Summary: From incorporating the Smoky Mountains into its new visual identity to the launching of an Environmental Science major and a Master of arts in teaching (STEM), as well as the proximity of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Maryville College remains of and for the region. East Tennessee’s hospitality industry also provides internships and jobs to Maryville College students while an MC professor explores the chemistry of beer as breweries continue to multiply in the region.
