Cross Country Sends Six to NCAA Regionals in Texas

Maryville College Cross Country Coach Tyson Murphy will be taking six Scot distance runners to Seguin, Texas this weekend to compete in the 2011 NCAA Division III Women's and Men's Cross Country South/Southeast Regionals. The event will be hosted by Texas Lutheran University.

MC's Boston Maxwell earns numerous GSAC accolades at GSAC meet

CHATTANOOGA,Tenn.- In the crisp mid-morning air, the Piedmont Lady Lions and the Huntingdon Hawks raced their way to the Great South Athletic Conference's women's and men's cross country titles. Holli Abernathy led the way for Piedmont coming in just behind Covenant's Tera Woods. Jeffery Jenkins was the overall winner for the Hawks. This is the second straight victory for Huntingdon while Piedmont women win their first since 2003.

Cross Country sets personal best times at home event

October 1, 2011
The Maryville College Cross Country team hosted a meet this Saturday morning on MC's beautiful campus course. A blustery day and a trio of injuries during the women's 6K did not deter the Lady Scots from performing well. MC Head Coach Tyson Murphy stated, "We had some major setbacks before and during the race, but some runners really stepped up and filled in some gaps."
