DENSO Learning Center at Maryville College is offering local students one-on-one tutoring services throughout the summer. Students from kindergarten through high school can enrich their skills in five subject areas: English, reading, math, Spanish and study skills.
Appointments will be scheduled on Tuesdays from 2 until 7 p.m. and on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., beginning June 3. Cost is based on annual household income.
Tutors are certified teachers, Maryville College graduates and Maryville College students enrolled in the teacher licensure program.
The DENSO Learning Center has three main goals for the summer tutoring sessions: personalized instruction, increased independence in learning, and facilitation of student insights.
