Maryville College Admissions office to conduct after-hours ‘Twilight Tours’ during the summer

May 11, 2026

As the sun begins to dip behind the foothills and the pace of the day softens, Maryville College invites prospective students and their families to experience campus in a different light.

Twilight Tours return this summer, given by the Office of Admissions and offering a relaxed, after-hours look at campus designed for those who want to explore Maryville College beyond the traditional daytime visit. Beginning May 14 and continuing each Thursday through July 30 (excluding holidays), the tours will start at 5:30 p.m. and provide a unique opportunity to see campus as the evening settles in.

“Twilight Tours are one of our favorite ways to welcome visitors,” said Allison Spradley, assistant director of Admissions and visitor experience. “There’s something about being on campus in the evening that just feels different — more relaxed, more conversational. It gives students and families a chance to slow down, ask questions and really picture themselves here.”

Led by student tour guides, the experience includes a full walking tour of campus, along with time to learn more about academics, student life and the admissions process. As the day winds down, visitors can take in the natural beauty of the College’s setting while getting a feel for the close-knit community that defines Maryville.

“During the summer, everyone’s schedules can be a little unpredictable, so having an evening option just makes it easier,” Spradley added. “Plus, it’s hard to beat campus at sunset.”

For those who prefer a daytime visit, Maryville College also offers summer tours throughout the week. Guided tours are available Monday through Friday at 10 a.m., as well as Monday through Thursday at 2 p.m., giving families multiple opportunities to find a time that works best for them.

Whether visiting in the morning, afternoon or evening, prospective students can expect a welcoming introduction to a college community committed to academic excellence, personal growth and meaningful connections.

“Each time of day brings out something a little different about campus,” Spradley said. “But no matter when you visit, the goal is the same — we want it to feel like a place where you can see your next chapter beginning.”
