Vice President and Dean of Students

In this role, Stubbs oversees and manages a wide range of campus life programs and services, including Residence Life; Student Involvement and Leadership Development; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; the Center for Campus Ministry; Community Engagement; Food Services; and others. Student Affairs also provides robust student support services, including the Counseling Center, Disability Resources and Accessibility, Veteran and Military Services, MC Cares, Compliance, and more.

In his 20 years as a higher education administrator, Stubbs has worked with a wide range of campus programs, from intramural sports and fraternity and sorority life to Title IX and intercultural affairs. In the classroom, Stubbs has served as an instructor for First Year Studies and leadership development classes, and as an affiliate faculty member for West Florida’s College Student Affairs Administration Master’s degree program. Past institutions include the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; the University of West Florida; and Tennessee Tech University.

Stubbs earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature at the University of West Florida, and degrees in College Student Personnel (M.S.) and Higher Education Administration (Ph.D.) from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
