Dr. Niklas Trzaskowski is the Director of the Career Center at Maryville College. He joined the Career Center’s staff in 2021 as the Research and Career Development Coordinator. Dr. Trzaskowski earned his Ph.D. in History from Mississippi State University (2019). Before earning his Ph.D., Dr. Trzaskowski received an M.A. in History from East Tennessee State University (2013) and a B.A. in History from Tennessee Technological University (2011). While completing his doctoral studies, he served as a teaching assistant in the Department of History at Mississippi State University for several semesters. In this role, he gained experience teaching undergraduate students. Additionally, after he earned his Ph.D., Dr. Trzaskowski worked as a Lecturer in the Department of History at Mississippi State University for two semesters. In his current role at Maryville College, he enjoys assisting students looking to continue their education after their undergraduate studies and conducting research to support the Career Center’s services. In his free time, Dr. Trzaskowski enjoys spending time with his wife, exercising, reading about history, pedagogy, or leadership, and watching football.
