An introduction to basic chemical principles including ionic and covalent bonding, gas laws, solutions, acid/base chemistry, oxidation and reduction, and equilibrium. A special emphasis will be given to problem- solving strategies. Intended primarily for students not majoring in the natural sciences, engineering, or pre-health sciences but also suitable for students majoring in the sciences whose math placements match the prerequisites for this course.
