Meet a Current Scot

Macy Hunt
Hometown: Greenback, Tennessee
Macy became very familiar with Maryville College through a sister who graduated in 2018, but it was the College’s exemplary preparation for medical careers that convinced her to become a Scot. Since enrolling, she has added Brahams Scholar activities and POM Squad to her schedule.
Initially declaring a Biology major, Macy switched to Biomedical Sciences in the fall of 2025, soon after the major was approved. “I chose this major because it focuses on the physician assistant (PA) prerequisites needed for a graduate program,” she said.
“After graduating from MC, my goals for the future include attaining a Master of Medical Science (MMS) degree from LMU and becoming a physician assistant with a pediatrics focus in the state of Tennessee.” She will complete an internship in the emergency room of Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center in the Spring.
