Mr. Myers is a Research and Instruction Librarian at the Lamar Memorial Library at Maryville College. He holds a M.S. in Library Science (1993) and a B.S. in Business Administration – Accounting (1985), both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mr. Myers joined the faculty at Maryville College in 1995.
Mr. Myers focuses on teaching students how to find, retrieve, and evaluate information effectively. He teaches in a variety of courses across the curriculum and is actively exploring methods for delivering information literacy instruction. Mr. Myers is also investigating how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance these skills. In addition, he serves as the administrator of the Lamar Memorial Library’s website.”
Mr. Myers also serves as a First-Year Advisor and teaches a first-year seminar on LGBTQ+ issues that explores themes of belonging, identity, community, and resilience.
