Dr. Turner joined the staff of Maryville College as the Project Director for the TRIO Program in 2020. Dr. Turner will provide administrative leadership and oversight for Maryville College’s student success program.
Dr. Turner is from Memphis, TN and moved to Atlanta, GA where she completed her undergraduate and graduate education. Dr. Turner received her bachelor’s degree in Social Policy from Agnes Scott College and her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Sociology from Emory University. Dr. Turner started her career in higher education at Emory University as an Assistant Director in the Office of Undergraduate Education before joining the staff at the University of Tennessee where she served as the Associate Director for the Haslam Scholars Program and later as the Associate Director for First-Year Programs.
