Who we are & what we do
The TRIO Student Support Services program, funded by the US Department of Education, is designed solely to help students succeed and graduate from Maryville College. The program offers study sessions, academic planning, financial literacy workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and career counseling. The program also provides supplemental financial assistance to eligible students. Our program staff work with each student individually and offer opportunities for students to participate in workshops, social, and cultural activities. All of our TRIO services are free to eligible students.

Who is eligible?
- First-generation college students (Neither parent of the student received a baccalaureate degree; or a student who lived with and received support from only one parent, and whose one supporting parent did not earn a baccalaureate degree.)
- Students with high-financial need (Individuals whose family’s taxable income for the preceding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level amount. See https://www2.ed.gov.)
- Students with documented disabilities
Where are we located?
We are located on the campus of Maryville College in the Hangar room of Anderson Hall 3rd floor on the elevator side. Regular office hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Our main office number is (865) 981-8333.
