Christopher E. Stephens
Class of 1997
General Notes

In April of 2023, I joined Stop Soldier Suicide as a marketing specialist. Stop Soldier Suicide, located in Raleigh, NC, is the only national nonprofit solely focused on reducing the military suicide rate. After my brother Mike, a Navy veteran, died by suicide in 2017, I got involved with SSS through their running challenge community. During that time, I also started my own online effort called Miles for Mike. Since joining the staff, I have moved to creative specialist, serving as the in-house graphic designer. I can think of no better way to continue to honor my brother through Miles for Mike and work at SSS.
