DELANEY, JENNIFER KAY – 52, of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly, on December 21, 2013, in Huntsville, Alabama. Jennifer was a graduate of Powell High School, class of 1979, Maryville College, and Villanova University. Jennifer worked as a contracts manager in research and development at GaN Corporation in Huntsville, AL. Proceeded in death by her father, Paul Edwin Hodges, Knoxville, TN. Survived by son, Morgan Roger Delaney, 24; daughter, Victoria Anne Delaney, 21; former husband and friend, Clifford Roger Delaney; mother, Jane Hodges, 81; brothers, Michael “Mike” (Cyndi) Hodges, Eddie (Nancy) Hodges, John (Debbie) Hodges; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 30, 2013, at First Baptist Concord Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013, with service to follow at First Baptist Concord Chapel, 11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions (First Baptist Concord, 11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934), National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Mid South Chapter), 214 Overlook Circle Ste 153, Brentwood, TN 37027, (615) 269-9055, http://main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/Jennifer_Delaney. “All that I am or ever hope to be I owe to my angel mother.” Her favorite job was being a mom – the wiper away of tears, singer to sleep, kisser of all wounds, voice of all the bedtime story characters, encourager of faith in Christ, source of constant laughter, and personal hero to her children. She also was named MS Mother of the Year, which speaks not only to her immeasurable strength to overcome Multiple Sclerosis, but even more so her unparalleled love and devotion to her children. She was, and is, an inspiration to all. “My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn’t do whatever I wanted to do, or be whoever I wanted to be. TN Sales Manager for SweetWater Brewing, died in a tragic accident yesterday. He will be missed beyond belief. Curtis was a great friend to all and just a great person. Please join us in sending thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends. RIP Curtis. Curtis Donnell McArthur died unexpectedly from a fall in Atlanta, Georgia, on Jan. 1, 2014, at the age of 28. Curtis was born on August 1, 1985, in Maryville, to Steve and Jan McArthur. He was the proud big brother of Catherine McArthur. Curtis spent his first 15 years in Maryville, then moved with his family to Missoula, Montana, where he graduated from Sentinel High School in 2003. Curtis returned to Tennessee to attend Maryville College, where he earned a bachelor of arts in international business in 2007. Curtis was a lover of life and a craft beer enthusiast. He started his dream job at SweetWater Brewing Company as the Tennessee sales manager in 2011. He was awarded Sales Employee of the Year for 2013. Curtis was a once in a lifetime sort of person. He lit up the world with his infectious smile, generous and engaging spirit, and joyful exuberance. Not a mere acquaintance to anyone, Curtis had a unique way of making everyone he met feel like they had known him for years. It was evident to all who knew him that Sara May Holloway was the love of his life. He will be truly missed. Curtis is survived by his parents, Jan and Steve; and younger sister, Catherine of Missoula, Montana; fiancée, Sara May Holloway of Nashville; grandmother, Geneva Maxey McArthur of Maryville; aunts and uncles, Carole McDonald (Eden) of Knoxville, John McArthur (Polly), Donna Booher (Bob), Ruth Harper (Edward), all of Maryville; and numerous cousins and second cousins.
