Maryville: Second Harvest Food Drive

Help to feed our neighbors in East Tennessee with a food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. Items will be collected starting April 1 in the Second Harvest barrel in the Bartlett Hall Atrium. Sign up for more information and be sure to scan the QR code on the barrel to let us know you participated!

All non-perishable food items are accepted but favorites include: peanut butter, canned meat/fish, mac & cheese “deluxe” kits (no milk needed), pasta sauce, rice, dried or canned beans, crackers, canned soup/pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, packets of tuna or chicken, granola bars and other healthy snacks. Please no glass containers, pet food, or baby food. See the list of most needed items on Second Harvest’s website.

Food drives are one of the primary ways Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee collects food. Second Harvest believes in Food for ALL for East Tennessee. Each of their eight hunger-relief programs are designed to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to receive food within the 18-county service area. The total number of people experiencing food insecurity in East Tennessee has surpassed 213,000.
