In 2016, Maryville College set out to create a bold annual giving day to celebrate everything we love about MC. On April 12, Tartan Tuesday launched with a goal of 300 donors in one day, and Scots Nation delivered, with 329 donors raising $94,040.
Since then, this beloved tradition has united the MC community year after year. Tartan Tuesday returns April 6–7, 2026, building on last year’s incredible momentum: $1,156,028 raised from 905 gifts in just 1,819 minutes.
Tartan Tuesday supports the Maryville Fund: powering scholarships, academic programs, student experiences, and the areas of greatest need. But it’s about more than dollars raised. It’s about the loyalty of Scots across generations and the collective impact we make together.
Get involved as a challenge donor, become a social advocate, make a gift, or simply help spread the word. Every gift to the Maryville Fund strengthens MC and expands what’s possible for our students.
