Ms. Sara Venable

Sara Venable was raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and had the good fortune of being born into a family of adventurous world travelers. She has traveled to many far-reaching corners of the globe both as a student and a curious tourist. Sara has worked in various roles in Education in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Portland and since 2009…East Tennessee. Along the way she earned a master’s degree in education from New York University. Most of her career has been spent in teaching, independent school administration and program building in the performing arts and film. One of her most recent passions and focus has been Equity, Inclusion and Justice work. While she is not working as the International Student Advisor at Maryville College, she enjoys attending cultural or performance events, watching movies, exploring new restaurants, and sitting in the sunshine with her two dogs.
