2021 grads include 12 legacies

In the Class of 2021, several students are continuing a family tradition by graduating from Maryville College. Twelve graduating seniors are legacies, meaning they have relatives who are current or former Maryville College students. Many of these students were featured in a story as first-year students in fall 2017.
Legacies in the Class of 2021 are:
- Seth Cooper ’21, Knoxville, Tenn. – Chris Hollander ’09 (cousin), Rachel Rushworth-Hollander ’08 (cousin by marriage) and Kenzi Sawyer ’16 (cousin)
- Anya Dunn ’21, Winston, Ga. – Linley Dunn ’16 (sister)
- Riley Hamant ’21, Liberty Township, Ohio – Molly Hamant ’18 (sister)
- Leah Holley ’21, Knoxville, Tenn. – Martha Trotter (graduated in late 1800s, great-great-great-grandmother); Ida Jane Seaton (graduated in late 1800s,great-great-grandmother); Thomas G. Stanley ’29 (great-grandfather); Thomas C. Stanley ’64 (grandfather); David Stanley ’60 (great uncle); Stephen Stanley ’68 (great uncle); and Jennifer Stanley Holley ’92 (mother)
- Holland Jerrolds ’21, Knoxville, Tenn. – Hayden Jerrolds ’11 (brother)
- Gage Roddy ’21, Maryville, Tenn. – Carrie Braden Bright (mother)
- David Rose-Franklin ’21, Lenoir City, Tenn. – Melissa Kiewiet ’14 (mother)
- Blake Shepard ’21, Maryville, Tenn. – Kenneth Shepard ’54 (grandfather) and Melanie Abbott LaFollette ’93 (aunt)
- Skyler Stanley ’21, Eastman, Ga. – Walker Stanley ’20 (brother)
