Larry May named MC’s Physical Plant Director
February 2, 2022
Larry May has been named director of the physical plant at Maryville College. May, the College’s former assistant director of the physical plant, began his new role on January 1. He replaces Reggie Dailey, who retired on December 31.

As director of the physical plant, May oversees housekeeping, custodial services, mechanical trades and grounds and is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds in a safe, clean and functional condition; purchasing and controlling energy on campus; and managing and remodeling projects and deferred maintenance.
“Larry’s relationship with the College goes back several years, working with Interstate Mechanical as an outside contractor on several projects across campus before joining the Maryville College staff in May 2018,” said Jeff Ingle, vice president for finance and administration at Maryville College. “His leadership skills are excellent, and as assistant director of the physical plant, he successfully led the mechanical trades division for three and half years.”
Larry’s experience includes 22 years working in all aspects of HVAC installation, service and ductwork. Prior to joining the College, Larry managed a staff of 14 HVAC service technicians for Interstate Mechanical. He has an HVAC certificate from Dona Ana Community College and holds many certifications in the HVAC trade, including being EPA certified.
“With his knowledge of MC and his exceptional work ethic, he was the natural choice for this important position to lead the physical plant into the future,” said Ingle.
