Maryville College senior Paula Morris will present a recital titled “Cecil’s Mom Has Got It Going On” at 6 p.m. Monday, April 3, in the Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall of the Clayton Center for the Arts on the MC campus.

The recital is free and open to the public. The program will include French, Italian and German art songs, musical theater pieces and Italian opera arias. Kate Wogoman will provide accompaniment on the piano.

“I chose this whimsical title because my cat’s name is Cecil, and my classmates and I have various inside jokes about me being his mother,” Morris said. “This recital will be very special to me because it will be the last event I will have with all my friends there, and it represents all the hard work I have put into earning my degree.”

Morris is a music major from Farragut, Tennessee, and a 2019 graduate of Farragut High School.
