Maryville College invites students to discover their future at ‘Meet Maryville’ on March 28

March 9, 2026

High school juniors and prospective transfer students are invited to experience life as a Scot during Maryville College’s “Meet Maryville” preview event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Hosted by the College’s Office of Admissions, “Meet Maryville” provides an immersive introduction to academics, campus culture, student life and the personalized support that defines the Maryville College experience.

“Meet Maryville is more than an open house — it’s a chance for students to step into their future,” said Kelly Massenzo, director of undergraduate admissions. “This event gives high school juniors and transfer students the time and space to explore academic programs, connect with faculty and see how a liberal arts education here supports curiosity, purpose and community.”

The day’s schedule is designed to showcase the best of Maryville College. After check-in, guests will attend a welcome session where College leaders share what makes the Maryville experience distinctive. From there, students can choose sessions that match their interests, including academic division overviews, admissions guidance, financial aid and scholarship information, and opportunities to connect with current students. Breakout sessions provide deeper insights into majors, internships, study abroad and experiential learning opportunities.

Participants will also enjoy guided campus tours led by student ambassadors, giving them a firsthand view of residence halls, classrooms, academic resources, dining facilities and vibrant gathering spaces. Opportunities to visit with representatives from student life, athletics, career services and other areas are woven throughout the morning, ensuring guests receive a comprehensive overview of life as a Scot.

“Students who attend Meet Maryville often tell us what stands out most is the authentic sense of community,” said Dr. Alayne Bowman, vice president of Admissions and Financial Aid. “They meet faculty who are deeply invested in student growth, current students who share their real experiences, and admissions counselors who walk them through the process with clarity and care.”

Highlights of the March 28 Meet Maryville event include:

  • Academic exploration, during which prospective Scots can discover more than 70 majors, minors and professional programs across the College’s nine academic divisions.
  • Faculty engagement, with College faculty who are passionate about teaching, mentoring and scholarship on hand to meet potential students and their parents.
  • Student life showcase, featuring opportunities to get to know student groups, campus organizations and co-curricular experiences that foster belonging and growth.
  • Admissions and financial aid guidance, where interested families can learn about application processes, scholarship opportunities and how to plan for college financially.

“By the end of the day, students aren’t just learning facts — they’re imagining themselves here,” Bowman added. “For many families, it’s the moment where the college search transforms from abstract to personal.”

Advance registration for Meet Maryville is encouraged and available online at maryvillecollege.edu/meet-maryville or through the College’s event portal.

Other Opportunities

For students and family members who cannot attend Meet Maryville, the Admissions Office offers several additional ways to experience Maryville College. During the academic year, campus tours are available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday, and select Saturdays at 10 a.m. Eastern. These tours provide a personalized look at campus with current student guides and can include opportunities to sit in on classes, meet faculty members and get tailored information about academic programs.

“Even if they attend a Meet Maryville event, we encourage students to schedule an individual visit later on,” said Bowman. “Those personalized visits often help students answer the question of fit — ‘Is Maryville College a good fit for me?’”
