Application and Instructions

Maryville College ESL program is for students who are at least 16 years old, non-native English speakers and interested in improving their English ability. We do not have a deadline for applications, but recommend that you complete the application process at least 2-3 months before you wish to begin. This allows enough time to get your student visa and make travel arrangements.

Applying is easy! Complete the following:

  1. Application form (online or download)
  2. $50* application fee (send or pay online)
  3. Send a photocopy of your passport (identification page)
  4. Send financial documents (copies of bank statements in English dated within the last 3 months) showing you have the funding needed for your first year of study and living costs. This is required by the U.S. government. For each five-week session, a student will normally need about 3,530*. You may send us copies of your documents, and keep the originals to show the US Embassy when you apply for a student visa.

About payment methods: You can pay the $50* application fee with credit card, check, money order, travelers checks or cash. Please contact us by e-mail (international@maryvillecollege.edu) for information on making the payment.
