Welcome to KT Days 2026!

We can’t want to welcome alumni and friends to campus for KT Days! Each year brings seasoned and new participants to this beloved event at Maryville College. To provide the best experience possible, please be sure to review the information as you plan your time on campus (and definitely prior to arrival on June 9 or 10).

To aid the check in & registration process, please sign the the KT Days Waiver of Liability before arriving on campus.

Dorm check in is on Monday, June 8 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the first floor lobby of Lloyd Hall. KT’ers checking into the dorm will also receive their registration packets at this time.

The MC Camps & Conferences team now has a mobile app to streamline check-in and communications during your stay in the dorm. On your mobile device, please click this link to add the app to your phone home screen for easy access at check in. You can also use the app to submit maintenance requests and contact Camps & Conferences staff if needed during your stay.

KT’ers who arrive on Monday are invited to join together with local KT’ers and other alumni for an informal opening night dinner at Pearsons Dining Hall (self-pay). We are excited to again host an ice cream social, this year on the Fayerweather Hall lawn after dinner. The Archives in the Fayerweather Hall basement will be open to explore the renovations.

Dorm check out will be Friday, June 12, from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (new time) in the Lloyd Hall lobby. Breakfast will be available for KT’ers prior checking out on Friday.

If you need to make other arrangements for check in or check out due to your travel schedule, please contact the Alumni Office and we are happy to accommodate.

Please review the document linked here, Helpful Info for Your Stay, for additional information to prepare for KT Days and staying in the dorm. This document will be included in your registration packet. If you are not staying on campus, look for a similar document in the “KT Days Registration” section.

KT Days Registration will take place with dorm check-in on Monday, June 8, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Lloyd Hall first-floor lobby. All KT’ers staying in the dorm or not can come to receive their packets and t-shirts at this time. Registration will also take place on Tuesday morning at breakfast (7:30 a.m.), outside of Proffitt Dining Room (PDR), at the back entrance of Pearsons Hall.

For KT’ers not attending on Tuesday, registration packets and t-shirt may be picked up at breakfast the morning of their first work day.

Local KT’ers are invited to join together with those traveling in and other alumni for an informal opening night dinner at Pearsons Dining Hall (self-pay). We are excited to again host an ice cream social, this year on the Fayerweather Hall lawn after dinner. The Archives in the Fayerweather Hall basement will be open to explore the renovations.

Please review the document linked here, Helpful Info for Locals, for additional information to prepare for KT Days. This document will be included in your registration packet. If you are staying on campus, look for a similar document in the “Dorm Check In and Check Out” section.

KT’ers will be staying in Lloyd Hall. Each suite houses 4 individuals and has two full bathrooms. Suites hold two double-occupancy rooms or one double-occupancy and two single rooms. Some suites include a kitchen and each floor has a community kitchen and lobby. Couples will be housed together, and we will do our best to honor other roommate requests. A limited number of handicap accessible rooms may be available. If you did not indicate during registration you need a handicap room, please notify the Alumni Office so we can work to accommodate your needs.

Dorm living may be a new experience for some! Since this is not a hotel environment, please think back to your college dorm room days and come prepared. Past KT Volunteers have suggested bringing the following items:

    • Extra washcloths and towels (one per guest is provided); some bring their own bathmat

    • An extra pillow (two sheets and one pillow will be provided)

    • Soap for both sinks and showers as well as shampoo/conditioner and other personal hygiene toiletries

    • Soap dish

    • Drinking glass for the room

    • Hand and nail brush if you plan to paint or work in the dirt

    • Extra blanket if you get cold easily

    • Unbreakable, portable water bottle for filling at water stations during the day

    • Flip-flops and robe for showers

    • Earplugs and/or a white-noise maker (i.e. a small fan)

    • Face-coverings

    • Hand sanitizer

    • Clothing hangers (dresser provided)

    • Reading lamp (only overhead lighting provided)

    • Clothing detergent, if you plan to use the laundry machines

Other Dorm Details

    • You may be sharing a dorm room with one additional KT’er (we will do our best to honor roommate requests made on your registration form)

    • A washer and dryer are available in the dorm at no charge; you must provide detergent and fabric softener

    • Public lounges and snack/drink vending machines are available

    • Rooms do not have TVs. There are limited TVs with limited cable service in the dorm common areas

    • Wi-Fi is available without a password. Choose “MC-Guest” in your Wi-Fi set-up

    • A communal kitchen space, including refrigerator, is available on each floor

    • Housing on campus is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis

    • Housing and KT Days t-shirts cannot be guaranteed after the registration deadline of May 23, 2026

    • At the end of your stay, you are asked to bundle your sheets, pillowcase, and towels provided (stuff them all in the pillowcase for ease) and bring them to the first floor lobby for collection by housekeeping staff

IMPORTANT:  If you are staying in the dorm and arrive after check-in hours, please note that the doors to the dorm are always locked. There will be signs on the doors of Lloyd Hall with the phone number of your assigned Conference Assistant/CA. Call that number to get checked in to your room.

Be sure to bring clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or potentially ruined. Plan for the weather – hot, rainy, cool, dry – the weather in Maryville can vary drastically from year to year! Plan on changes of clothing throughout the day – working clothes and clothing for after the workday is complete. At the Thursday evening Wrap-up Dinner, some like to dress a little nicer than the working clothes they have been wearing all week but no dress code is expected. Come as you choose!

The KT Days project list is developed by the KT Days director and team, in partnership with MC Facilities Operations team and is based on campus needs, feasibility, costs, and skill level required. Generally, projects include landscaping, painting, light carpentry, archival organization, and invasive species removal in the College Woods. We do our best to meet all requests for project types and final project team assignments are determined by the KT Days director.

Team assignments will be announced at breakfast on Tuesday morning in the PDR. In some special cases, the KT Days director will contact individuals in advance. Each project has a team leader. If you feel you are not a good fit for your assigned project, please discuss with your team leader. If your first KT Days workday is after Tuesday, please check with a MC staff member or the KT Days director (Reggie Dailey) when you first arrive.

Schedule

Below is a sample of the KT Days 2026 schedule. Flexibility is key, and some of the scheduled times and projects are subject to change. While the weather is unpredictable, we know it will likely be hot! Don’t forget your portable water bottle to stay hydrated during the work days.
