Maryville College will send official communications to students through three methods: campus post office box, student email address, and the Highlander Hub. Students will be responsible for checking these locations regularly to receive official correspondence and notices.
Student Email
Every full-time student will be assigned an email address on the my.maryvillecollege.edu web-based e-mail system. This will be the only e-mail address recognized by the College. If students prefer to use an email address through another Internet provider they will be responsible for forwarding their mail from the other provider to their maryvillecollege.edu address. The College will only send email to students’ MC e-mail address (e.g., jane.doe@my.maryvillecollege.edu). Faculty and staff have been instructed to only accept and use MC e-mail addresses for all email communications with students.
Today at MC for Students
Today@MC Students is Maryville College’s daily electronic newsletter to communicate important information and current/upcoming activities to its students. It is published Monday through Friday when the College is in session. Entries are reviewed on a daily basis for publishing in the next business day’s newsletter. To submit entries to the newsletter, select the link within the daily e-newsletter and follow the directions.”
Campus Store/Post Office
The Campus Post Office is located on the ground level of Bartlett Hall inside the Campus Store. All students enrolled at Maryville College are required to check their email regularly and pick up any and all parcels and mail delivered to them. Students are required to present their Maryville College ID in order to receive their packages.
Mail Pick-Up is available 7:45am until 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:45am until 4:00pm on Friday. Services include stamp sales and package shipping through the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or Federal Express (FedEx) on these days and times (the Campus Post Office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays). The Campus Post Office accepts cash, credit/debit, checks (for the exact amount due), and contactless payment.
Yavor, our Amazon Hub Locker
Maryville College has an Amazon Hub Locker on campus that can be found in the Bartlett Hall atrium, directly across from the Campus Store. Students and employees can simply select the option to find a pickup location when checking out, search the Maryville College area, and select Yavor. The locker can also be used to return Amazon packages; these kinds of returns are NOT accepted inside the Campus Store / Post Office. When your package arrives, you will receive an email containing a code that can be scanned or entered at the locker, then a locker door will pop open allowing you to grab your package and go. Yavor is always available when Bartlett Hall is open.
Information for MC Families:
– Student mail should be addressed as follows:
STUDENT NAME
MARYVILLE COLLEGE
502 E. LAMAR ALEXANDER PARKWAY
MARYVILLE, TN 37804-5907
- If you live nearby, you might want to drop packages off for your student (M – F, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 pm), if dropping off in person, you do not have to pay postage, etc.
- Do not send packages to arrive before 8 a.m., as there will not be anyone available to receive them. If sending perishables (medicines, flowers, etc.) be sure they will arrive on a weekday, not a weekend or holiday, when we are closed. If we are closed, they (USPS, UPS, & FedEx) will hold until the next business day we are open.
- We are closed on weekends and during holiday breaks, so any mail/packages sent to be received during these times will not be received in our office until the following working day (which is normally a Monday). The Campus Store and Post Office observes reduced hours when a Fall or Spring Semester is not in session; during the “Off-Season” we are open from 9:00am until 3:00pm Monday through Thursday and from 8:00am until 12:00pm on Friday.
