International Office:

The Maynooth University International Office supports over 1,000 students of different nationalities and cultures. The International Office is the first point of contact for all incoming international students and provides information to students regarding immigration, study abroad programs, on-campus services, and much more. Additionally, the office also provides support and cultural information for the local area, such as where to find the local Asian food market, or the nearest religious services, or help with integration into Irish society. The International Office teams together with the academic departments and support services across the university to ensure all students have an enjoyable and beneficial experience of studying at the university. Finally, the International Office also collaborates with universities on all continents, to internationalize teaching, research, work placement, and student and academic mobility opportunities. Academic Program:

Students must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to enroll. A GPA between 2.75 and 3.0 will be considered but must also submit two letters of recommendation as part of their application. Students enroll and are pre-approved for their selected courses prior to their arrival to ensure they can take any required classes. Students are also strongly encouraged to have their Maryville College academic advisor approve their course selections. Language Requirement:

If English is not your first language, you must submit an English language test score to demonstrate proficiency. For more information, check the Application Requirements section on the Maynooth University website.

Room and Board:

Maynooth Student Residences offers accommodation to full time students of Maynooth University and St Patrick’s College, Maynooth. Residences operate as a diverse community where students create an enjoyable peaceful environment in an apartment style accommodation with up to four other students. Students can choose between a single room with an ensuite bathroom or a single room with shared bathrooms. Living on campus is a community experience and students who wish to live on campus should understand and accept all Maynooth University housing policies. Meal plans can be accommodated upon request, but students also have access to kitchen facilities in their apartments as well as several restaurants in Maynooth.

Cost:

Students pay tuition, room and board and any administrative fees to Maynooth University. Tuition is currently €6,000 per semester. If the student is attending Maynooth University as part of an exchange program, regular tuition is paid to Maryville College.

Students are responsible for course materials, airfare, any necessary immigration expenses, and any personal purchases.
