Maryville College Commencement, Class of 2025: Stories, photos, video and more recapping a milestone weekend

May 20, 2025

It’s been almost three weeks since the Class of 2025 paraded across the stage of the Clayton Center for the Arts to claim their diplomas and close the door on their Maryville College careers.

But while their academic work at MC is behind them, the lives they’ve built as Scots will live on. As treasured alumni, they’re a part of the Maryville College family, and it’s an honor to wish them best of luck in their future endeavors, and to invite them back home to College Hill as often as they can make it!

From graduation rehearsal to the Senior Brunch, from the Baccalaureate service to the special ceremony for the seniors on the Maryville College baseball and softball teams held on Tuesday, May 6, MC Commencement 2025 will be remembered fondly for years to come. Through this recap, we cordially invite you to watch the videos, view the photos and read the stories to experience graduation weekend all over again!

Maryville College is a nationally-ranked institution of higher learning and one of America’s oldest colleges. For more than 200 years we’ve educated students to be giving citizens and gifted leaders, to study everything, so that they are prepared for anything — to address any problem, engage with any audience and launch successful careers right away. Located in Maryville, Tennessee, between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the city of Knoxville, Maryville College offers nearly 1,200  students from around the world both the beauty of a rural setting and the advantages of an urban center, as well as more than 60 majors, seven pre-professional programs and career preparation from their first day on campus to their last. Today, our 10,000 alumni are living life strong of mind and brave of heart and are prepared, in the words of our Presbyterian founder, to “do good on the largest possible scale.”
